Underrated NBA Playoff Team for 2013

photo: Ticketmaster.com
As I have sat and watched the NBA playoffs in 2013, there is one thing I have noticed…the NBA teams who made it to the second round have certain qualities.  One of the four qualities these teams have are:

a)    A team of superior talent (two to three players or more)
b)    A team of hard working individuals (mentally tough)
c)    A team with a great front office and coaching staff
d)    All of the above

There are eight NBA playoff teams in the second round, but there is one team I would like to briefly discuss.  The one team is

the Golden State Warriors.

To me, the Golden State Warriors are "d)" all of the above.  According to NBA.com, Mark Jackson is a 17-year NBA veteran and coaches the Golden State Warriors.  Jackson was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1965.  The Warriors hired Jackson in 2011 and since then he has distributed his New York City mentality onto an already talented team.

The talent of the new backcourt tandem titled “The Splash Brothers” is a deadly shooting duo, according to Facebook.com.  The first half of the duo is Stephen “Steph” Curry who is the son of NBA great Dell Curry, according to NBA.com.  Steph Curry launched himself into the league at the 2009 NBA draft as the 7th overall pick in the first round from Davidson University, according to Stephen Curry 30.com.

Steph has been an incredible shooter throughout his early career with yo-yo ball handling skills.  No question he has taken the reigns from his father Dell and taken his game and the league to an entertainment level.  Steph is creating a Magic Johnson like atmosphere in the Bay area of California.

The other half of the duo is the talented marksman Klay ThompsonThompson is the son of NBA baller Mychal Thompson of the Los Angeles Lakers, according to Pro Basketball Talk.com.

Klay joined the NBA as the 11th overall first round pick in 2011 from Washington State University.  Since joining the Warriors, Thompson has found his way with his shooting stroke and his jump shot off the dribble.  So far in the firs two rounds of the 2013 NBA playoffs, Klay has been a lightning rod.

If the Splash Brothers can keep the consistency going, they will be the new marquee players of the NBA for years to come.  I believe they will keep the magic rollin’.  The duo will garner commercial TV and playoff success similar to the NBA faces like Jordan, Kobe, LeBron and others.  Get ready America for Oaktown’s finest, “The Splash Brothers”.
