In December of 2012, I wrote
a post titled Seattle Seahawks! Scary or Not Scary?

After watching the Seahawks play the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football, I am convinced that the
Seahawks are the new bullies of the NFL.
When most people think of a
bully it’s normally someone who picks on another person or group of people they
feel are weaker than themselves. If someone stands up to the bully, the bully
will back down. In this case, the Seahawks are a different breed of bullies.
This team is the definition of what a true bully really is.
The bullying begins with a
certain type of mentality. The psychological mindset I see from the Seahawks is
a breed of wanting to take on the best teams and not backing down. Rarely do we
ever see where one team embraces the challenge of being the best. Most teams
just political play the course and simply play who’s on their schedule. The
Seahawks seem to want to play the best teams and be the best team. The defense
especially loves the challenge when they play at home inside of their 12th
man stadium called Century Link Field (fka Qwest Field).

During the 2012 season, the Seahawks hosted the mighty Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. Brady did his best
but was unable to take the Seahawks out. The Seahawks won the game 24 to 23 in
an early season matchup. After the game was over, Seattle CB, Richard Sherman
was in the ear of Tom Brady. I guess he was letting him know this was his house
and Tom could not come in here and do what he wanted to do.
That game seemed to propel
the Seahawks to believe they can do anything. So far, the Seahawks have done
everything at home. When they are on the road things are a little different,
but either way the Hawks have excelled to a record of 11-1 for 2013. They have already
clinched a playoff berth and with four games remaining they will probably
clinch home field advantage in the NFC.
