For some reason the Dallas Cowboys cannot seam to understand
how to handle weekly preparations. In week 1 the Cowboys prepared for the
Giants and played a high scoring game and came out victorious. In week 2 the
Boys played the Chiefs and lost a close game. They returned home prepared for the
Rams and won 31-7.
We thought the Boys were humbled after the Rams win, but the
following week Dallas went west and blew a 21 to 10 halftime lead in a loss to
the Chargers. Then here comes Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos. We all
know what happened there.
What confuses me is the Cowboy coach’s game plan and
preparation from week to week. In this week 6 match up against the Washington
Pro Football team, CB Brandon Carr of the Cowboys comes out and makes a silly statement
in my opinion. According to ESPN.com, Carr makes this statement… “He doesn't look the same. That's not saying we're going to
fall asleep on him. He still has the same arm strength. He still has some type
of elusive ability once he gets outside the pocket. ... But we know he's not
the same.”

Carr is referring to Wahsington's QB, Robert Griffin III or RG3. Carr says “He doesn’t look the same…we’re not going to fall
asleep on him…we know he’s not the same” What is Brandon Carr thinking to make
a public statement like this? He may have forgotten the last two meetings in
2012 where Dallas was swept for the season. Additionally, the Cowboys defense through
five weeks in 2013 is ranked 28th overall out of 32 teams, according to NFL.com.
This sounds like Carr has lost respect for RG3’s ability on
the field. Maybe RG3 will not be the same on Sunday Night October 13, 2013, but
RG3 should be much healthier the next meeting in Washington on December 16,
2013. That game could determine playoff implications.
If I were Carr I would simply be quiet. These are weeks
where the Cowboy coaches should keep players quiet from making simple
statements such as these. Yes, we all know RG3 is not the same, but for an
opposing team to say it is a whole different story.
On a different note, why are the Cowboys keeping four
running backs on the roster and they are not even using the starting running
back that much?
Just a thought…
